UPDATE: The Pot of Gold feature should now be available to all farmers as of tonight (12 AM Central).
It seems as though collecting all that Gold from your Leprechaun Cottage is about to pay off! We know that FarmVille Freaks have been working hard hopping farm to farm and collecting Gold pieces from their neighbors, and their wait is finally over!

Was your gift box getting flooded with all the treasure pieces? Its time to place them in your own FarmVille Pot of Gold!
The Pot of Gold has been released this evening, and is still be a slow roll-out to players!
Starting this evening, players are seeing the notice shown below when the try to “Use” a Gold piece!

When you click Accept on that pop-up, you will be taken to the FarmVille Market where you will be able to see the Pot of Gold.

Upon clicking “Preview”, you will see that the Pot of Gold can be purchased for 1 FarmVille Coin, but this feature currently seems to be “Locked” for most FarmVille Freaks!

Some farmers have been lucky enough to buy a Pot of Gold & place it on their farms!
We know by now that the FarmVille Pot of Gold will work similar to the Valentine’s Mailbox or the Halloween Candy Basket. The pieces of Gold that we collect from our neighbors and our own Leprechaun Cottage can be redeemed for prizes!

FarmVille Leprechaun Cottage Stage 4
Recently, in honor of the St. Patrick’s Day theme, the Leprechaun Cottage made an appearance in FarmVille! After finishing its construction, you may have noticed that it was a harvestable building.
After the night of its debut, the Leprechaun Cottage remained harvestable, but players were not able to get anything from it. Starting this afternoon, several FarmVille Freaks reported that the FarmVille Leprechaun Cottage can now be harvested for Gold!

Not only can you harvest this Gold for yourself, but some can also be shared with your neighbors!

The FarmVille Leprechaun Cottage will work similar to the Haunted House & the Cupid’s Castle! This means that when you visit your neighboring farms, you can also harvest their Leprechaun Cottage for Gold!
It seems as though the amount of gold you can collect from the Leprechaun Cottage depends on which level your Cottage is at! You may recall that the Leprechaun Cottage has 4 stages, and in order to completely finish building it, you will need 150 total construction parts!
For now, Gold can only be harvested and collected from your neighbors and be stored in your gift box. Upon clicking “Use” you will receive the following pop-up:
