Animals can now be mastered by harvesting them; the same as trees and crops.  Currently there are 520 animals that can be mastered, with more being added all the time.  However, at this time Sheep, Pigs, Calves, and Foals are not masterable.

You can see your progress on all Animal Masteries by using the Menu Box located on the right end of your Neighbor Bar.  Hover over the blue Ribbons button and a menu will popup. Click on the Mastery button.

Your Mastery Window will appear.  Click on the Animals tab to see the progress you’ve made for all of your animals.  This window will show you how many stars you have for each type of animal as well as the progress you have made towards your next star in the grey bar below the animal.  You can scroll through the pages of animals by clicking on the arrows to the left and right of the screen.

You can also quickly see the Mastery progress of a particular type of animal by simply clicking on it.  A menu will appear showing you how many Mastery Stars you currently have.  You can see further details on your mastery progress of this animal by clicking (view).  This will bring you to that particular animals page in the Mastery Window shown above.

There are 3 Mastery Levels to each type of animal.  Every time you master a Level, a popup window will appear showing you your new Mastery Level and rewards.

Each star is a Mastery Level.  Once you reach the 3rd Mastery Level you are finished mastering that particular animal.  You will receive a Mastery Sign to place on your farm in addition to your rewards.
